Bowling Green State University Men's Lacrosse has announced the addition of recent graduate
Matt Jones to its coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Jones, a former leader of the Falcons' lacrosse program, brings a strong understanding of the game and a deep connection to BGSU Men's Lacrosse. During his time as a player, Jones was a driving force within the program and helped contribute to its continued growth.
In addition to joining the BGSU coaching staff, Jones is the founder and director of Compound Lacrosse, a youth lacrosse program focused on developing the next generation of players in northwest Ohio. He also serves as an assistant coach with the Bowling Green High School lacrosse program, continuing his commitment to growing the sport throughout the local community.
Head Coach
Stu Smith is excited to have Jones back with the program in a new role.
"I am thrilled to have Matt join our coaching staff. Matt brings a high lacrosse IQ that can help our players on both sides of the ball. He has been a driving force and has really helped this program get to where we are now since I started here."
Jones' experience as a former Falcon, youth coach and high school coach will provide valuable perspective to the BGSU program as the team continues to build for the future.
