Men's Club Lacrosse Kicks Off Their Spring Season in Akron, Ohio.

The Men's Lacrosse team opened their NCLL season play by traveling to Akron, Ohio to play in the InfoCision Stadium again two cross state rivals, University of Akron and Kent State University. In the opening game of the triple header, the Falcons saw a much larger and improved team than they previously faced in October. The Zips came out with a lot of energy and had the Falcons on their heels taking the first half 8-2.

"We weren't ready from the opening face-off and it showed. We didn't need to change much at half, we just settled into the game and played the way we normally do. We achieved what we wanted to do which was win the second half." Coach Stu Smith said of the slow start.

The Falcons second half was a different story. The defense limited the Zips chances and the offense went on a few runs to win the second half 6-4. The slow start proved to be the difference as the Falcons couldn't catch up and ended up losing 12-8.

The second game of the Falcons double header was against The Kent State Golden Flashes. Falcons also saw some added depth and talent to the Golden Flasher roster. Another slow start saw the Falcons down at half. The second half, the defense held them to only 5 goals while the offense failed to get any momentum, only scoring once on limited possessions. The Golden Flashes played hard on both sides of the ball and ended up winning by 11-3.
