As BGSU Club Baseball prepares for their season opener, the team has their sights set on repeating as conference champions this season. That goal starts next weekend, September 27-28, with a 3 game home stand vs Eastern Michigan. 

With tryouts concluding September 14, the team will welcome 10 new players this season hailing from a wide variety of states including New York, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. This class promises a good mix of pitchers, strong bats, and versatile defenders. They also are returning 16 players from last season, all who were solid contributors last season. Leading the pitching staff this season will be President Noah Grendzynski and junior Carter King, who both worked deep into games last season. Seniors Mason Shultz and Owen Unterbrink and sophomore Austin Sertell will look to lead the offensive charge again this season. Two-way Jacob Rumberger hopes to continue the success both on the mound and at the plate.  

With a stacked fall schedule including two conference series and two road trips to Ball State and Adrian, the team is excited to get the season rolling.
