BGSU Club Softball had an awesome and competitive Fall 2025 season that really showed off the team's growth, chemistry, and determination. After one of the toughest tryouts in recent years, the Falcons put together a strong 25-player roster with 15 returning players and 10 newcomers. The mix of experience and fresh energy made the team really fun to watch and set the stage for a great season.
From the first weekend, the Falcons proved they could compete with some of the best, taking on teams like Michigan State, Michigan, and Ohio State. The season was full of exciting games, close battles, and big wins that showed the team's offensive firepower, solid pitching, and defensive skills.
At the plate,
Kylie Gibson had an amazing fall, hitting .513 in 39 at-bats and consistently coming through when the team needed her.
Sammy Gingras brought the power, hitting three home runs and delivering clutch hits all season. On the mound,
Casey Marousch led the pitching staff with 50 strikeouts, showing poise and leadership every time she stepped on the circle.
This season was also about more than just stats. The team's energy, leadership, and ability to come together as a group really stood out. Returning players set the tone while the newcomers quickly found their place, and that mix of personalities made the team stronger both on and off the field. Over the winter, the Falcons are going to keep working hard, sharpening their skills, and building strength so they can come back even stronger for the spring season.
President of Club Softball,
Rachel Ebert reflects on their season stating, "I'm so proud of our team and the heart we showed this fall. Even though our record of a 4-10 record, we fought hard in every game, took some into extra innings, and never lost our energy or determination. Now it's time to keep that fire going through winter practices and get ready for an even stronger spring season."
Overall, fall 2025 was a huge step forward for BGSU Club Softball. The team showed what they're capable of, built great momentum, and laid the groundwork for an exciting spring. Keep up with all the action on Instagram at @bgclubsoftball.
