Bowling Green Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Ohio University

As the season's end is now within view, the Men's Lacrosse team has done everything they can to contend for a playoff bid. All eyes turn to the conference clinching matchup on Sunday, April 14th, where the Kent State Golden Flashes host Akron Zips, as the Falcons only need an Akron loss to secure the program's first ever NCLL Conference Playoff bid.

Until then, Bowling Green looks to build up their playoff resume, hosting the Division 1 Bobcats in a Saturday Matinee. Everyone knew it would be an uphill battle against this talented team, but the Falcons weren't going away easy. Both programs got on the board while holding the opposing offense at bay, with a score of only 2-2 at the end of the first quarter. Ohio then managed to sneak in a few more goals than Bowling Green in the second quarter, creating a small lead of 7-5 going into halftime.

The Falcons prepared to mount a quick comeback, but after the break the Bobcats managed to pile the goals throughout the entirety of the second half. Bowling Green went down swinging with everything they had, but couldn't get the job done with a final score of 9-15 in favor of Ohio.

Freshman defensive midfielder Ryan Jones had this to say about their loss, "Honestly, it sucks to lose these kinds of games, but it's extremely important that we take the field with and compete against the Division I teams of the NCLL as we build a strong and competitive program"

Scoring contributions were made by: Ryan Gill (3 Goals), Braeden Coleman (2 Goals), Caden Fatzinger (1 Goal, 1 Assist), Rylan Williams (1 Assist), Tyler Doe (1 Goal), Ryan Jones (1 Goal)

Next Up: All eyes turn towards Kent State vs Akron on April 14th, as a Golden Flashes win clinches an NCLL Conference Playoff berth for Bowling Green State University.
