Looking to defend home-field once more, Women's Lacrosse hosted Western Michigan University as they look to go on a run with their first win streak of the season.
Facing a familiar WCLO opponent, the women in orange knew exactly what they were getting into, and even more importantly knew what it would take to win.
The Falcons pulled no punches as they quickly piled up the goals, while the defense and goaltenders held the Bronco offense scoreless all four quarters. Unselfish play allowed Bowling Green to bring home the victory, assisting on 74% of their goals. Six players finished the day with 3+ points, and the final score read 19-0 in favor of BGSU Women's Lacrosse.
Freshman midfielder Nadia Benninghofen had this to say about their effortless win, "During the game I believe our team did a wonderful job overall. The energy was up and we had great movement on offense while the goalies and defense shut down every play. I am really proud of everyone's contributions and I think it was such a special moment because of how unselfish we played, wanting goals for our teammates rather than ourselves"
Scoring contributions were made by: Lily Jones (6 Goals, 3 Assists), Abby Robertson (4 Goals, 3 Assists), Lydia Planicka (3 Goals, 2 Assists), Ellie Fleisher (2 Goals, 3 Assists), Alexis Miller (2 Goals, 1 Assist), Lexy Knauff (1 Goal, 2 Assists), Peyton Wozniak (1 Goal)
Next Up: The Falcons head back to Mount Vernon, Ohio, to face Mount Vernon Nazarene and Kent State in their season finale on April 6th.
