As we prepare for the coming days of the holiday season, BGSU Club Sports wanted to highlight some of our outstanding athletes/staff across all of our programs. In this series, we hope to showcase the complete picture of Club Sports Athletes, as well as connecting on some holiday traditions they like to enjoy. 

ATHLETE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Our next nomination is Abby Grady, a member of the Club Curling team. She was nominated by Patrick Nelson, the coach of the Club Curling team, who had this to say about her accomplishments and leadership. 

"As our 24'-25' Club President, Abby had done a fabulous job getting the BGSU Curling Club back up and competing after a 10+ year hiatus. She was actively involved with getting the club started again last year by helping to recruit new members, and she is the only BGSU Curler to have competed in all our Travel Team matches these past two seasons. As a curler, she has advanced her skills and knowledge of the game and is the only curler on the Team to have played all positions in various matches for BGSU. The club wouldn't be thriving and pushing towards a hopeful qualification in the College Curling Nationals next March 2025 without Abby Grady." 

HOLIDAY TRADITIONS

When asked on the following Holiday prompts, Abby Grady answered with these solutions: 

• Favorite Holiday Movie: Nightmare Before Christmas
• Favorite Holiday Food: Deviled Eggs
• Favorite Holiday Memory: My mom accidentally putting chili powder on the deviled eggs and then my family complaining the following year when there was no chili powder for the deviled eggs.
