Club Golf is packing up and hitting the road for an exciting journey to Pinehurst, North Carolina, to compete in the NCCGA National Championship on December 7-8, 2024.

After an inspiring season, the team is ready to showcase its talent on the national stage, bringing a mix of experienced players and fresh faces to the tournament.

"This year, we had a lot of new faces who had never played in a collegiate tournament before," said Cameron Drake, the team's Vice President. "Four of them are heading to nationals in a few weeks. Isaac Gallmeier, Keaton Schnipke, Trevor Campbell, and Joseph Meyer are all making their NCCGA National Tournament debut."

The team also boasts a strong group of veterans, including Maxwell Weaver, Ryan Klausing, Alec Matej, and Jackson Gregory, who are no strangers to the pressures of national competition. "They're super excited to have qualified for another NCCGA Championship," Drake added. Cody Schneider will also be traveling with the team as an alternate. 

The team's success this season can be attributed to the dedication and skill of its players, especially the freshmen who made a significant impact. "All of them that have made a tournament squad have played very well, and we look forward to helping them develop their game further," Drake noted.

For first-time national competitor JJ Meyer, the upcoming tournament is about more than just the game. "I am most excited to play outside of Ohio and hang out with my teammates," he shared. "I am trying to lock back in for one last tournament of the season and play the best that I can."

As the team prepares to head south, their focus is on teamwork, growth, and enjoying the experience of competing at one of collegiate golf's most prestigious events.
