The Men's Lacrosse team hosted the Kent State University Golden Flashes on Saturday. The Golden Flashes had a few long possessions early that created multiple chances in the first half. The Falcons solid team defense held the Flashes attack to just 3 goals all game. The Falcons defense was lead by Junior Goaltender
Will Yuhas from Westlake, OH. He had this to say, "I was proud of the way our defense communicated. We let in 2 goals early, but we talked through it and ended up not giving up a goal in both the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Although it was far from perfect, it was the best our defense has played all year and I know we can continue to play at the level we did. Our offense was on point today and was at full strength for the first time. With the way we communicate and make adjustments, we have the opportunity to win a lot of games this season."
The Falcons possessed the ball as the game went on and controlled the play for the majority of the second half. A well balanced offense saw multiple goal scorers for the Falcons which lead to the 11-3 victory. Director of Lacrosse Stu Smith had this to say about the win, "It was great to see the defense starting to play as a team and really limit the offense chances against. We fought off a few long possessions early which gave us confidence to be more aggressive in the second half."
