Falcons Split Opening Day Doubleheader
The Bowling Green Club Baseball team opened their spring season with a win 5-0 over Siena. They followed that game with a close loss in extra innings to Northeastern, 3-2. Freshman Dom Swiernik was outstanding on the mound. The young hurler threw a one-hitter and went the distance going all 7 innings. He also added 9 strikeouts on the mound. Offensively, freshman

Mason Shultz led the way. Each tallied 2 hits including 1 extra base hit and 2 RBIs.
In the second game of the doubleheader, the Falcons led all the way until the final out of the 7th. They ultimately fell short in the bottom of the ninth due to a walk-off single. Freshman
Evan Meyer was a phenomenal defensively, making many great plays at shortstop. Freshman
Nick Kinter was solid in relief, giving up 0 earned runs in 3 innings.

Falcons Dominate on Day 2 of PCB
The BGSU Club Baseball team pitched a shutout in Game 3 of their Panama City Beach trip. They defeated Christopher Newport 9-0. The Falcons tallied 12 hits offensively and did not commit an error in the field. They also added 3 triples. BG took the lead in the top of the third and did not look back. They added runs in the 4th and 6th innings as well to extend their lead over Christopher Newport.
Senior
Noah Grendzynski set the tone on the mound. He went 5 scoreless, adding 8 strikeouts to 3 hits given up. BG was on the attack offensively with 4 players tallying multi-hit games. Senior
Mason Shultz had 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and 1 run scored. Junior outfielder
Jacob Rumberger added a double and a triple to go along with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Sophomore outfielder
Austin Sertell had 2 hits, one being an RBI triple in the 3rd inning. Sertell also added 2 stolen bases. Freshman outfielder
Joe Levis had two singles and one run scored.

BG Scores 31 Runs in Doubleheader Split
The Bowling Green Club Baseball team split their day 3 doubleheader on Wednesday, March 4. They lost to Siena 9-12 but rallied to beat John Carroll 22-12 via a walk-off run rule hit by Senior
Caden Fickes. After a 6-run 6th inning to take the lead over Siena, the Falcons ultimately fell in 7 innings. BG totaled 10 hits in that game. In game 2, the Falcons came out hot, scoring 9runs in the first and 8 runs in the second. They ultimately run-ruled John Carroll in 5 innings. Each of the 9 batters tallied an RBI for BG. They totaled 19 hits in that game.
Game 1 standouts include freshman infielder Dom Swiernik. He had 3 hits to go along with 3 runs scored, 1 RBI, and 1 stolen base. Freshman catcher/outfielder
Tristan Belford was good in the clutch, driving in 3 of the Falcons 9 runs. Senior
Owen Unterbrink pitched 3 innings in relief, giving up only 1 run on 1 hit and 1 walk. He also struck out 3.

In game 2, there were many offensive standouts. Sykora, Sertell, Shultz, Levis, and Taylor all logged multi-hit games. Fickes went 4-4 with 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, and 1 walk. He also tripled in the winning runs to send the Falcons home. Junior two-way
Jacob Rumberger started on the mound and went 4 innings giving up 3 runs with 2 strikeouts. At the plate, he went 4-4 with 2 doubles and his first career home run. He tallied 6 RBIs, 3 runs scored, 1 stolen base, and 1 hit by pitch.

BG Drops Last Game of PCB Trip
The Bowling Green Club Baseball team lost to Toledo 7-8 on Thursday, March 5. They
fell behind early 6-1 and got it back to even at 7-7 but ultimately fell short. Freshman Tristan
Belford got the start on the mound. He was solid in his debut, going 5 innings with 3 earned runs and 3 strikeouts. Junior outfielder
Jacob Pierson had great at-bats, working 2 walks to go along with 2 hits. He scored 3 of BG's 7 runs. Senior
Caden Fickes added 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
Overall, the Falcons went 3-3 during their trip to Panama City Beach. They finished with
a run differential of +19, losing 3 close games. Standout performers form the week are listed
