The BGSU Club Baseball team took 2 out of 3 in this past weekend's series vs Western Michigan. The Falcons swept the doubleheader on Saturday, winning by scores of 3-1 and 6-4. On Sunday, they lost their lead in the 4th inning and fell 7-9.

Dom Swiernik got the start in game 1 on Saturday. He went 6 strong innings and got the win for BG. Cody Burgess, making his club debut, got the save. BG took the lead in the 2nd inning and added runs in the 3rd and 6th innings. Sertell, Pierson, and Taylor all added an RBI.

In Game 2, Joe Levis got the start and went 4 innings after a tough first inning. After being down 2-0, the Falcons rallied in the 5th to take the lead when Sam Banks scored on a wild pitch. Don Gipper added a key insurance run when he doubled in the top of the 7th. Carter King shut the door in the 7th and got the save.

In Game 3, a 7-run 4th inning for Western Michigan was too much for BG to overcome. Two Falcon hitters had 3-hit days- Jacob Pierson and Don Gipper. King was solid in relief again, going for two innings and no earned runs.

The Falcons now have a 5-4 record in the spring semester. BG returns to the field on Saturday, April 4th for a non-conference doubleheader vs Toledo.
