The Club Baseball team traveled to Panama City Beach for their annual spring break trip. While in PCB, they participated in the Swing Into Spring Tournament, where they played six games against teams from all over the country.
For their third game, they played conference opponent, Grand Valley State University. The Falcons were able to get an early look into the GV team before their triple header series later this spring. The Falcons recorded three hits in the game, including a double and a triple from freshman Austin Sertell and a fifth-inning double from junior Chris Blass. Junior Noah Grendzynski dominated on the mound, striking out nine batters and only allowing three hits, two walks, and one earned run in the six innings he pitched. The Falcons won the battle against the Lakers, 3-2.
While the team had some fun on the field, they also had the chance to do some team bonding and enjoy the Florida sun. In their free time they played putt-putt and spent a lot of time on the sand playing beach volleyball.
The team looks forward to the rest of their season on the field!
