Following a season opening loss the men's lacrosse team hosted the University of Toledo in a massive rivalry game early March 16th, looking to kick off St. Patty's weekend with an emphatic NCLL Midwest win.
The Falcons started off slower than they would have liked as they finished the first quarter tied up with the Rockets at four goals apiece. Going into the second quarter, however, the men in orange quickly piled up some goals on several scoring opportunities, taking a commanding 9-5 lead into halftime.
After a quick regroup Bowling Green began to go on a run in the second half, outscoring Toledo 7-2, taking home a win with a final score of 16-7.
Freshman attack Avery Earls had this to say about the Falcons festive win, "It was good to see the guys out there on the field putting what we work on in practice out on the field. We started to look like a team the way we worked the ball around on offense and locked down the cage on defense. We were also able to work in our whole roster and everyone saw the field, which was great to see as well"
Scoring contributions were made by: Rylan Williams (3 Goals, 2 Assists), Caden Fatzinger (1 Goal, 4 Assists), Jackson Keen (3 Goals, 1 Assist), Ryan Gill (2 Goals, 2 Assists), Garrett Beckman (2 Goals), Avery Earls (1 Goal, 1 Assist), Luke Anticoli (1 Goal), Tyler Does (1 Goal), Nate Silsby (1 Goal) Aidan Smith (1 Goal)
Next Up: Bowling Green heads south on March 24th as they prepare to play against University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University.
