Anna Mueller (number 2)
Anna has been a dedicated member of the club volleyball team for seven semesters, since having transferred to BGSU from Marquette University. During her second year with the team, she took on the leadership role of marketer, gaining valuable experience along the way.
As one of only two four-year returners, Anna reflects on her time with the team, confidently stating, "Some of the best times I've had in my college experience have come from club volleyball."
With only two semesters left of college, Anna hopes to leave a meaningful impact on the team. She has cherished every moment as part of the volleyball family and wouldn't trade these memories for anything.Â
One of Anna's favorite memories was winning a set against the OSU A team during her first semester, despite having a player out due to injury. Additionally, the team's trip to Kansas City last semester for nationals will forever be an amazing memory.Â
"I really hope that any new and potential club members have the same great experiences that I've had. For the freshmen now, I hope I've been able to share the love and joy for the game that my upperclassmen had instilled in me," Anna shared.Â
Madeline Applegate (number 8)
Madeline has been an integral part of the club team for five semesters, having joined in the fall of her sophomore year. Her dedication to the team and her enthusiasm has made her a standout member since she joined.Â
Throughout her time on the team, Madeline has embraced leadership roles that have enriched her experience. In her junior season, she served as the team's marketer, showcasing her creativity and commitment. Currently, she holds the position of Vice President, further demonstrating her leadership abilities and passion for the sport.Â
As Madeline prepares to graduate this spring, she reflects on her time with club volleyball with both nostalgia and gratitude. Among the memories she shared with us was a thrilling victory at a Kent State tournament during her junior year, where the team beat Toledo, and the exciting trip to Kansas City last semester for nationals.Â
Madeline emphasizes the lasting friendships she has built, stating, "I have gained many friendships that I will cherish and miss once I graduate."Â
Madison Rammel (number 9)
Madison is currently in her fifth semester with the club team, having joined during her junior year of undergrad. In her senior year, she took on the role of treasurer, contributing to the team's success both on and off the court.
Over the past few years, Madison has thoroughly enjoyed her time on the team, demonstrating the competitive spirit of continuing to play volleyball after high school.Â
Reflecting on her experience, Madison shared that being part of this team will be a cherished memory in her life. "One of my favorite memories has been winning tournaments and experiencing nationals in Kansas City in the spring of 2024. I wouldn't trade these experiences for anything, and I will miss it!"Â
Emily Piekenbrock (number 11)
Emily has been a valuable part of the club volleyball team throughout her four years at BGSU. During her time on the team, she has embraced a few leadership roles, serving as Vice President her junior year and currently stepping into the role as President.Â
Emily cherishes time spent with her teammates both on and off the court. She believes that her college experience would not have been complete without the relationships and competition club volleyball has provided her with.Â
Like many of her teammates, one of Emily's favorite memories was traveling to Kansas City for nationals last year. She also fondly recalls an intense tournament match where the team battled to victory against Toledo. There are countless memories she will bring with her after graduation.Â
"I love traveling to tournaments and creating lasting memories, whether it's staying at each other's houses or hanging out between matches," Emily shared.Â
