The BG Club Dodgeball team traveled to Nationals, April 15 and 16. Going into their last tournament of the season, they were with 3 wins and 6 losses. With their lineup going into their first day of play, they were up against James Madison, Western Michigan, and Cleveland State. Preparing for their games, they worked hard to execute their game plan. With being down only 2 to 1 against James Madison in the first half and
Tyler Webb making a between the legs catch off of a cross, BG had high hopes, well they ended up falling to James Madison 5 to 1 at the end, they bounced back right after to take an incredible win against Western Michigan with a 5 to 0 win. With
Riley Brady making a spectacular catch to win the first point, Reni Kaiser and
Payton Hilling's team throw to win the second point, giving BGSU the edge and momentum leading the second half where the team was playing their style of play, and executing their game plan. To end day one at Nationals, BGSU faced CSU, with CSU taking the first point over BG, they had to hold their heads high, and BG with a sliding catch by Kaiser to take the second point,
Kalin Strawthers diving catch to keep the catching momentum going, BG took the win over CSU 5 to 2, ending their day with 2 wins and 1 loss.
Leading into the second day of Nationals, BG was up against OSU. Although OSU was the team that knocked out BG in the bracket play,
Joey Irwin had an excellent back pedal catch leading him to back roll, with
Evan Brown hitting targets, and their seniors playing their last points.
Joey Irwin,
Easton Huffman,
Kalin Strawther, and
Tyler Webb went out with a bang making outstanding plays throughout the weekend. Bowling Green ended their season with 5 wins and 8 losses, but they are looking forward to next season to picking up where they left off.
