So far this season, club swimming has competed at the MSUSC Fall Invitational Swim Meet in East Lansing, MI and faced the University of Toledo in October, where they were able to finish 1
st out of the two teams.
When asked what sets the BGSU Club swim team apart from other teams, returning swimmer,
Andrew Jipping said "We have a wide spread of personalities and ability levels, some people would find it frustrating but we've been able to embrace it and celebrate it." Adding to Jipping's statement,
Ellie Kill said, "We honestly value the skill diversity more than we value winning as a team. Of course we love to win, but we try to celebrate everyone's individual growth over team success."
Individual growth would not be possible without people putting in the work needed to improve.
Alexandria Allshouse believes it is in large part to the efforts of the entire team, saying "we have very dedicated coaching and members who continuously go above and beyond, multiple members of the team workout and practice outside of organized practices and help some of the newer members put in the extra hours needed to shave time off of their laps."
