The Women's Club Lacrosse team traveled to Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, OH on Saturday to take on the Lady Cougars. The Falcons opened the game up with a strong start taking an early lead 4-1 in the first half. The Lady Cougars came out strong in the second half taking the lead from the Falcons. Great goaltending paired with a late push by the Falcons offense made the game within reach. In the end the lead was too much to overcome, and the game finished 10-7 Lady Cougars.
"Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the girls on the team, especially since this was our first game together. I am looking forward to continuing our connection during practices and improving game-to-game!" Said Senior Midfield Captain from Richfield, OH.
Director of Lacrosse Stu Smith had this to say about the game. "Not the result we were after, but it was nice to see the girls compete how they did. We learned a lot about what we need to work on and the direction we need to go."
