The club gymnastics team wrapped up their season at the 2026 National competition this past weekend. Nearly 1,300 students from across the country traveled to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the nation's largest NAIGC competition of the year.
"Nationals was in Birmingham, AL this year which was so much fun. It was nice to be in the warm sunny weather when we weren't competing. NAIGC puts so much time into planning this meet and you can absolutely tell," stated sophomore and president of the team,
Emily Lapa. "The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and everyone supports one another no matter what level you are or if you are competing MAG, WAG, or trampoline & tumbling."
While competition was tough, it was nothing the Falcon's couldn't handle. Below are the athletes' scores.

"The girls did absolutely amazing and I am so beyond proud of them," Lapa said. "Nationals is a great bonding experience and something I look forward to every year. Being in a leadership position this year I was definitely nervous going into this meet, but everything went smoothly! I put so much time and effort into planning out the details and it was awesome seeing everything play out like I hoped."
The team is sad to say goodbye to the '25-'26 season but is eager to make improvements for next years competitions. Be sure to follow @bgsuclubgym on Instagram to stay updated with the team and future events.Â
