Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green Women's Hockey team (0-2 Overall) will play their home opener this Friday, October 10th, and Saturday, October 11th against Central Michigan University (1-3 Overall). The games will be played at Slater Family Ice Arena.
Â
"I thought our team played well this past series against Lawrence Tech. First games are always difficult, but it was good to see the team chemistry right off the start," said Senior Captain Emma Wanyek. "These upcoming games against Central Michigan should help set the standard for what we are striving for. Every year the CMU series is always competitive, and I wouldn't expect anything different this year."

Last Time on the Ice
The Falcons took both of their games on the chin last weekend against Lawrence Tech. The Falcons lost (2-0) and (5-1). During the first game, the Falcons could not get their offense going; however, a strong Falcon defense held the Chippewas to only 2 points. The strong Chippewas offense stayed persistent in the second game of the series where the Falcons lost (5-1). Overall, it was a strong defensive match from the Falcons, just without the offense to make it count.
