The BGSU Club Tennis Team traveled to Case Western Reserve University over the weekend of September 14th & 15th to compete in the Cleveland Classic!

BGSU had both the A & B teams competing.

The A team finished 3-0 in Pool play on Saturday with wins over Cleveland State, Grand Valley State, and Kent State. With a perfect record the A team advanced to the Gold bracket.

The B team finished 0-3 on Saturday with very competitive matches against Cleveland State, West Virginia, and Dayton. With competitive matches the B team gained enough games to make the Gold Bracket.

The A team had a dominant victory in the semifinals against the #3 seed Case Western. In the finals the A team defeated #1 seed Western Michigan! The mixed doubles team of Maru Poppe and Jacob Rabenhorst went into mixed doubles down by one game, and had a dominant 6-2 victory to seal BGSU's first Club Tennis Championship!

The B team received the #8 seed for Sunday, and faced the #1 seed Western Michigan falling in a hard battle.
