Last weekend we had the pleasure of traveling to Chicago to play NWU, bringing an end to our fall season. It was a fun weekend full of team bonding and exploring the beautiful city!
I am so proud of this team! Coming back to a full season, post COVID, we were unsure what to expect this year. However, even with half our team being new faces, we were able to find our rhythm and have a successful season. This group of girls and a new coach allowed us to come together and compete in every game.
Regarding the overall season, the results are not what we anticipated. There were some close games that we believe we could have won, but as our president Jill Hallisey puts it, "Women's Club Soccer is more than just winning and losing. The team comes together and really becomes family while getting to play the sport we all grew up to love."
We are excited to continue building this program with the support of Coach
Scott Rissler and BGSU Club Sports. Rissler's goal for this spring is to, "create a competitive training environment, where we hold each other to high standards to achieve the results we want." Moving forward with the upcoming seasons, we plan to host open fields at the Perry Field House for winter and spring training. Additionally, we will schedule some spring games with teams in the surrounding area.
