Below are Mr. Ryan Hill's responses to a variety of questions:
Â
Q. What was your favorite memory playing club sports?
    A. My favorite memories of playing club hockey was my senior year when we were ranked 16
th in the country competing for a bid to nationals. The energy around the locker was unmatched. The team was excited to play because every game was a big step towards the goal of going to nationals. Unfortunately, that year we fell short of the goal, but it was still a great journey.Â
Q. What made you want to play club sports?Â
    A. I grew up playing hockey since I was 5, and being on the ice is my happy place. Throughout high school I played for Team Illinois and Milwaukee Jr. Admirals and then found an opportunity to continue playing at the Junior level after high school. I spent 2 years out on the east coast, in Long Island, New York and Burlington, VT playing junior hockey, which is a key step in the process to play NCAA hockey. I committed to the University of Wisconsin – River Falls to play NCAA D3 where I played two years. I wasn't enjoying what I was studying and the team over committed which led to me transfer to BGSU to pursue a Supply Chain Management Degree. Having a hockey focused background growing up, I was excited to get back on the ice and continue playing the sport I loved. BGSU has grown their club hockey program over the years and it has become a great club hockey program that allows students to pursue a degree, but still play at a high level as we get to compete against other good schools like Ohio St., Michigan, Miami, Ect.
