As we prepare for the coming days of the holiday season, BGSU Club Sports wanted to highlight some of our outstanding athletes/staff across all of our programs. In this series, we hope to showcase the complete picture of Club Sports Athletes, as well as connecting on some holiday traditions they like to enjoy. 

ATHLETE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Our next nomination is Grant Girrell, a member of the Club Men's Basketball team. He was nominated by Keenan Crawford, the President of the Club Men's Basketball team. Grant provided this insight into his athletic background:

"In high school basketball, I led a team in points, rebounds, and blocks that won our league for the first time in 50 years. Also hold school records for blocks in a game, season, and career. First team all league and second team all district. In football I was a two way starter along with all special teams on a 22 man roster that made state playoffs for the fifth time in school history and for the first time in 30 years. Second team all league, second team all district." 

HOLIDAY TRADITIONS

When asked on the following Holiday prompts, Grant Girrell answered with these solutions: 

• Favorite Holiday Movie: The Grinch
• Favorite Holiday Food: Christmas Tree Cakes
• Favorite Holiday Memory: My brother didn't give my aunt a list for Christmas, so she gave him a bag of dog poop.
