Women's Rugby Competes at Regionals in St. Louis

The Women's Rugby season had a bittersweet end as they were able to travel to St. Louis, Missouri for a chance to represent BGSU on a National level. Due to their relentless performance throughout the season, they were offered a bid to play in a pool of three other teams in St. Louis for the Regional Championship title and the opportunity to advance to Houston,Texas for a National title. During their first game they played against the University of Illinois and came up short 25-17 in a hard fought battle. However, they turned things around for the next game the following day and won 27-25 against the Colorado School of Mines. Although they did not advance to Houston, they were able to place as the third best in the region and share an unforgettable experience together as a team in St. Louis.

During their time there, they spent an incredible afternoon downtown to see a national landmark, The Gateway Arch and later enjoyed dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory as a team. Women's Rugby would like to thanks their friends and families who traveled and watched from afar, including BGSU Club Sports for making their trip possible.
