This game was the upset special for many and only 10 seconds into the game it looked like that call was going to come true. 

Louisville received the opening kickoff and quickly spun the ball wide to create a 4-on-1 overlap and Cardinal center?Chris Reithmeier cut around the overwhelmed Bowling Green wing to touch down in the corner and a quick 5-0 Louisville lead.  

Clearly the stunned, the Falcons spent the next ten minutes trying to regroup offensively but the same time playing a very tenacious defense despite being penned up in their own end.? 

Relying on the foot of fly half Jake Kubicki, BG kept digging themselves more and more out of their own end against an equally tenacious Louisville defense.?

With the offense finally starting to click, Kubicki spotted a gap in the Cardinal defense and won the 35 yard footrace to the in-goal. His kick was good and BG finally had a 7-5 lead. 

With both teams playing the rest of the half between the 22's, Louisville was on the attack Falcon eight man John Stuhldreher stunned the Cardinals when he picked off a pass at the BG ten and then a hotly pursued footrace to the Louisville goal line. With Kubicki's conversion , Bowling Green went into halftime leading 14-5. 

Kubicki got the second half going by landing a 22 meter penalty kick to put BG in a tightly fought game in a more commanding 17-5 lead.? 

Falcon center Joe Johnson put Louisville in a three score hole when he slipped through a Cardinal tackle to score in the corner. The kick was missed but BG now lead 22-5.? 

Louisville lock?Christopher Jensevold rammed over a short yardage try on the over end and Cameron Donlon's conversion tightened things up, but the match ended with BG winning 22-12.
