Sydney Patten serves as an Assistant Coach of the Bowling Green State University Women’s Club Lacrosse Team. A native of Ontario, Canada, she began playing lacrosse in high school and quickly became involved in several developmental programs, including Buffalo’s Stampede Lacrosse, Between the Pipes Goalie Camps, and Revolution Lacrosse out of Boston.
Sydney continued her academic and athletic career at the University of Findlay, where she was a member of the Oilers Women’s Lacrosse team during their 2018 conference championship season. While competing at Findlay, she earned her undergraduate degree in AYA Life Science Education and was known for her dedication, work ethic, and commitment to the growth of her teammates.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Sydney remained at the University of Findlay as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletics Department while earning her Master of Business Administration. During the 2024–2025 season, she also served as a volunteer goalie coach for the University of Findlay Women’s Lacrosse Team, helping mentor and develop goalkeepers within the program.
Sydney is grateful for the opportunity to continue being involved in the lacrosse community and is excited to work with BGSU student-athletes. As a coach, she strives to create an environment that encourages confidence, accountability, and a strong sense of teamwork both on and off the field.
