The Bowling Green State University Men's Club Soccer team returns to the pitch at home this weekend. The Falcons welcome in Akron and Saginaw Valley State to Bowling Green this Saturday in a doubleheader, kicking off at 12 pm eastern against Akron and then at 4 pm against Saginaw Valley.
The Falcons are coming off a devastating 1-0 loss last weekend against the 13th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers after a late penalty kick put the Hoosiers in the win column. This will be the first time Bowling Green Men's Club Soccer has faced off against Akron and Saginaw Valley, so the Falcons look to go 2-0 on the weekend.
The Opponents
Akron opened up its season with a 3-1 victory against Xavier, then the Zips tied 2-2 with Kent State to start their season with a 1-0-1 record.
Saginaw Valley State faced off against the University of Michigan-Flint and won 8-2, then followed up with a 5-1 loss to Western Michigan.
Looking Ahead
The Falcons look to come away with a 2-0 weekend to kick-start their season as they look forward to a competitive schedule in the next few weeks.
