Dayton, Ohio - The Bowling Green Men's Rugby team (4-2 Overall, 3-1 MAC) will play their final regular season away game this weekend against University of Dayton.
"I'm really happy with the group that we've selected for this weekend. We've got a great combination of youth and experience and I know that the players will play the style that we want them to. T will also help prepare them to continue helping the team moving forward," said Assistant Coach Austin Morris.
Last Time on the Field
Saturday started out with the BG Winger, Issac Radke receiving the opening kickoff and returning it for a 75 yard try to open the scoring just 22 seconds in. Overall, the Falcon defense prevented Pitt from having any ability to respond to the barrage of tries. The defense has been a consistent positive for the Falcons all season, despite two early losses to Louisville and Ohio State. Overall, for the First Side, scored 13 tries from 7 ruggers. This weekend conversions were on point with Fullback Joey Apel providing a precise 10 of 13 (76.92%) for 20 points. The Falcons won 85-0. In the second match, there were seven tries for the Falcons scored by seven different ruggers. Conversions were just as on target, going six for seven overall; Center Lucas Hickernell completed all four of his attempted conversions and Center Andrew Ginder went two of three. Overall, the Developmental 1 side won 47-5 against University of Pittsburgh.
"With only two games left before playoffs, this is a really great chance for all players to show their abilities and to put their hand up for selections when playoffs come," said Assistant Coach Austin Morris.

Last fall, Dayton went 1-5 in the MAC, finishing 7th with 4 points. The Flyers ended their season scoring 42 points, conceding 199, and with a 0157 points differentiation. This season, the University of Dayton has started the season 0-4.
