BGSU Piles on the Tries in 96-7 Victory Over Ohio University

Falcons Bounce Back with Big Win in Avon

Avon, Ohio – Bowling Green (3-2 Overall, 2-1 MAC) have returned to winning ways this weekend in a big 96-7 victory over Ohio University. This weekend, 16tries were scored from 12 BGSU ruggers!

"We didn't advance on all opportunities. There was still a bit of selfish play. However, we locked in and found our rhythm and started hammering the points," said 6th year Kosta Anderson. "We also got some great play from our subs. It's great to see the quality of depth on the team showing and give a confidence boost to the young guys."

Bowling Green piled on the tries this weekend in what proved to be a much needed reset. While rain was not in the forecast, that didn't stop the downpour of offensive attacks. There were 12 different try scorers for 18 total tries in the first match. Center Russel Merz, Flanker Harvey Harris, Flanker Evan Holderer, Wing Gary Brammer all contributed with a brace. Center John-Luke Weiler, Wing Gianpaolo Sferrella, Hooker Phil Tracey, Flanker Colton Crabiel, Prop Ralph Merz, and Flanker Spencer Perish all contributed with a single try. Center Issac Radke also provided BG with a try in addition to four conversions and Joey Apel also pitched in with four conversions.
