Born and raised in Coconut Creek, FL, Sean arrived at BGSU in August of 2023 as Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Club Volleyball programs and Director of Operations for BGSU’s Varsity Volleyball Program. He most recently served as assistant coach and interim head coach at DI Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC where he coached the women’s volleyball program since February of 2022. Prior to this he served as volunteer assistant coach at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA.  

Sean graduated from the University of Charleston in WV with a degree in Exercise Science. During his undergraduate in Charleston, he played on their men’s volleyball program for four years, competing in the DI/DII EIVA Conference, where he earned second-team all-conference selection during his senior year of competition. 

His volleyball journey began in 7th grade and has since continued to spread his passion for the game through coaching at the collegiate level. His first coaching opportunity began in 2018 at his former volleyball club, MVP Academy, where he served as Head Coach for their U16 boys' team. Sean attributes his inspiration of volleyball to his father, Walt, who has coached the sport since he was born. He has been a guiding mentor for his volleyball journey and believes in serving others, through the sport that has given him countless opportunities athletically, socially, and professionally.
